New Foster Dog Legend

On Saturday, Legend, a woolly Siberian Husky who had been shaved, arrived in one of our foster homes. His new foster mom says:

Legend was surrendered to the shelter by his owner. The shelter thought he might be aggressive because when they reached for his head, he gave them a look and put his head down. Someone, I guess his owner, took him into the vet and had him shaved because he was matted. When we first met him we could tell he wasn't aggressive. He allowed us to pet him all over. I got him home and put a collar on him after allowing him to sniff it and telling him "collar". Not a problem. He went right into his crate but he's not that happy about it. I'm sure he'll get used to it. He has not met the other dogs yet but hopefully we can do that either later tonight or tomorrow.

Poor boy, they didn't even clip his hair evenly! We hope his foster siblings won't make fun of him too much. He'll be so handsome when his coat grows back in!

Oh Legend, you are so handsome already! We hope you make a fast and easy transition to your Foster home and that your forever family comes along soon. :)

What a beautiful dog!
My kids keep pestering me for a dog, but I feel it's not responsible to have a dog when no one is home to be with the dog for 8+ hours of the day- someday we'll be able to have one again I'm sure.
Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier!
