Welcome New Foster Dog Emiko!

This is our new foster dog Emiko, he was just came to his new foster home today!

He is a handsome boy! Emiko is 10 months old. He was taken in by a very nice vet tech who could not keep him, but wanted to help find him a new home. He is VERY sweet and friendly and loves to give lots and lots of kisses. He also loves to play with other dogs.

Sadly, Emiko came from a disreputable breeder or a puppymill. He has cataracts in both eyes. The cataract in one eye can be corrected with surgery, but the cataract in the other eye cannot. The opthamologist that saw Emiko thinks that he will lose sight in that eye by the time he is 5 or 6 years old.

Emiko will need to have surgery to correct the cataract in his good eye, which may be expensive. He also needs treatment with eye drops to keep his cataracts under control. If you would like to make a donation to help fund Emiko's surgery, you can do so through PayPal using the Make a Donation button at the top of the sidebar.

You can also send a check to:
Harnessed to Hope Northern Breed Rescue

Here are some pictures of Emiko settling in at his new foster home!
