Kenai the Malamute Puppy

This is Kenai. She is being fostered in the Poconos by a very nice lady who rescued her from a puppy mill. At some point, Kenai's front left leg was fractured and she never got treatment, so it grew crooked. Here is what it looked like:

Kenai had surgery recently on her leg. She is recovering very well. She is not supposed to be running or jumping, but her foster mom Pat says "Try telling that to a 5 and a half month old!"

If you would like to help with the costs of Kenai's surgery, you can visit our Available Dogs page and make a donation.
If you think you may be Kenai's furever home, email her foster home.

Kenai is very pretty! And I really like her pink cast. I sure hope she finds a wonderful home, like I did!

Woowoo's to Kenai!

Kenai is beuatiful. Is she good with cats? We have a 1 year old male malamute. We had one of his pups but he contracted lepto (as did I) and he was to young to beat it. I am looking for a female (spayed) Is she crare trained? We have 11 cats and Kodiak (our Malamute pup). e-mail me at kbrown0612@verizon.net.
