We've got puppies! Today our wonderful volunteer Brenda picked up a mom and her six four week old puppies!. Here they are:

and Mom Willow

The update from our volunteer Brenda:

"All the puppies seem healthy and very energetic. We have one bi eyed and the rest all have blue. 4 boys and 2 girls. We will name them and send pics shortly. The vet said all the puppies are healthy. They gave me dewormer for them. She wants mom to put on some weight and for us to give her lots of breaks from them because she is really sore. She did feed while I was in the office but they are really pulling on her and there is not much there for them to eat. Puppies weighed in at 3lbs 15oz for the smallest and 4lbs 3oz for the biggest one."

Check back for updates and more puppy pictures!

Here from Michele.
The puppies are too cute.
I have an old rescue dog we found on the streets on a college campus. He was in bad shape, part cocker and about five years old. Now he is happy but recently was diagnosed with high grade cutaneous lymphoma. He has done well now for four months on chemotherapy (just pill form), but his immune system is a bit compromised and he isn't allowed to have any vaccinations except his rabies right now. So while he would love to have a playmate, he has to settle for his people and the cats.

This is a wonderful job you do.

Poor Willow looks young enough to be a puppy herself. Willow's family was very lucky to be rescued by humans with such big hearts.
